She was sitting in front of her vanity mirror, brushing out the tangles of her hair. She had just gotten off from school when the doorbell rang.

Since it was late she decided not to answer it, but to sit and do some homework while waiting. It wasn't until a few minutes later that whoever it was decided to ring again.

"Coming!" she called out to no one in particular as I got up, smoothing down my clothes as I did so.
