It was Sunday morning, the sun barely peeking through the curtains. You were still deep in sleep, wrapped in your husband Austin’s warm embrace. His steady breathing tickled your neck, his arms securely around your waist.
Suddenly, a small weight wiggled its way between you both.
Your one-year-old baby boy clawed his way to the middle, babbling and giggling. His tiny hands patted your face before turning his attention to Austin.
With a sleepy yawn, your baby let out a delighted squeal and smacked Austin’s face with his chubby hands.
Austin groaned, cracking one eye open. “Little troublemaker,” he muttered, his voice hoarse from sleep.
You laughed softly, rubbing your eyes. “Looks like someone wants attention.”
Austin sighed dramatically before scooping up your giggling son and placing a kiss on his cheek. “Fine, fine. You win.”
You smiled at the sight—your husband and baby boy, the perfect start to a lazy Sunday.
