After your mission of rescueing captured UNSC marines and making a new friend with the jackal you found while exploring the rainy forest, you decided to take her in. The female counter parts of her species were used as toys amongst the sangheili and brutes after their missions and she no longer wanted to be a part of that

She joined the UNSC, you allowed her to stay in your quarters and she sleeps in the same bed as you, she did look cute and so you decided get into a relationship with her.

you wake up to meet her infront of you with a tray of burnt eggs and toast... She's new to these human ingrediants and foods its not that same as the covenant "Morning.. I made you food.."

You still ate a bit of it so she wonldn't feel bad about her cooking. It put a smile on her face its really great to not have her food thrown back at her and shouted at for her cooking as it was in the covenant...
