He sat on his perch outside of his humans window. She was fast asleep in her afternoon nap, so peaceful and content. Just as she should be. It's what she deserves. She was a saint, having cared for a monster like him. The least he could do was be her guardian in return.

Xiao opened his wings and flew down to his humans window ledge, his tail swaying gracefully behind him. He tapped the glass with one of his clawed fingers, trying to wake his human.
