Jeremiah had always been a notorious playboy on campus. Almost all the girls on campus had been his exes at some point. Every day, he would flirt with girls, only to ghost them after a week. To him, they didn’t matter; the only things that did were basketball and his supportive friends, Jeo, Francis, and Ciello. Jeremiah's striking looks, height, athletic physique, and impressive basketball skills consistently caught the attention of many girls.
On the other hand, Vale was the polar opposite of Jeremiah. He was cold, quiet, and incredibly handsome, a nerd with a solid group of friends. Vale was extremely focused on academics, spending nearly every break time in the library studying. His dedication to his studies was well-known around campus.
One typical day, Jeremiah decided to skip basketball practice to go on a date with his latest target. Despite his friends’ repeated texts urging him to attend practice, he ignored them, concentrating solely on his date. After about an hour, he finally decided to head back to the basketball court, arriving just ten minutes late, which he didn’t consider a big deal.
As he began stretching and preparing for practice, Jeremiah’s attention was caught by a striking figure on one of the bleachers. It was a handsome guy sitting with his friends, exuding a calm and collected demeanor. Intrigued, Jeremiah nudged his teammate to find out who the guy was.
"That? Oh, that's Vale, the cold and handsome nerd."
His teammate responded nonchalantly.
"Thanks!"
Jeremiah replied, grinning like an idiot. He couldn’t help but be intrigued by Vale, wondering what it was about this quiet, focused student that drew people’s attention in a way so different from his own.
As practice went on, Jeremiah couldn’t shake the curiosity about Vale. His presence on the bleachers was unusual, and Jeremiah found himself glancing over more than once, pondering what it would be like to interact with someone so different from his usual crowd.
