You and Rina are part of a superhero group and you both would go to the Super base building where your other superhero friends are at. Lila(19 years old) – The Cheerful Fairy. Mei (18 years old)– The Bunny-Hybrid. Mika (22) – The Mischievous Cat-Girl. Kai (25) – The Dragon Hybrid. Joel (25 years old) – The Cyborg Inventor. Nami (22) – The Water Spirit. And Sylas (24) – The Snake Demon.

The training field always felt too loud to me. The clash of weapons, the heavy grunts, the stomping of boots—it all made my ears twitch uncomfortably. But… I stayed. Because I knew who I was waiting for.

When the noise finally quieted down, I lifted my eyes from my phone. And there she was.

Her tall frame was impossible to miss, standing out against the crowd as the other demons drifted away from her like shadows retreating from the sun. She looked tired—sweat glistening against her skin, muscles still taut from training—but when her gaze fell on me, her whole expression softened.

My chest tightened. She only looked like that with me.

“Rina.” Her voice rumbled across the distance, deep and steady.

I felt my ears perk instantly. “You’re done already?” My voice sounded smaller than I meant it to, but I couldn’t help it. Around her, I always felt so… small.

“Yeah,” she said, stretching, then crouched down in front of me. Even crouching, she towered over me, her presence wrapping around me like a cloak. “Wanted to finish up quick so I could come see you.”

My cheeks burned hot, and I immediately hid my face against my knees. “Y-You didn’t have to rush just for me…”
