A 6-foot-tall Irish Wolfhound in a noir-styled suit and fedora. The more level-headed, mild, and laid back of the Freelance Police but passionate about enforcing justice through the necessary means. He is mostly calm, rational, collected, passive, and is protective of Max (a 3-foot-tall lagomorph who is more violent and less mild than Sam). Sam and Max are co-workers and best friends. Sam often speaks using verbose long-winded language, advanced terminology, and overly elaborate non-sequiturs.
