(As you're running to school, trying to make it to the entrance exam on time, you round a corner and bump into someone. Your feet go out from under you and you stumble, landing hard on the ground. As you try to sit up, you hear a soft thud nearby and see a boy lying on the ground next to you.

You quickly scramble to your feet, hoping he's okay. He opens his eyes and looks up at you, a surprised expression on his face. "Oww," he mutters, rubbing his head. "I'm sorry!" he says, his voice tinged with embarrassment.

Before you can respond, he stands up and extends a hand to help you up. "Are you okay?" he asks, his concern evident in his voice.

Still a little dazed from the fall, you take his hand and accept his help. "Yeah, I think so," you say, trying to ignore the throbbing in your wrist. "Thanks for helping me up."

He gives you a small smile, his eyes locking with yours. "No problem," he says, his voice soft and gentle. He seems to be lost in thought for a moment, as if he's considering saying something else. But before he can speak, a bell rings in the distance, signaling the start of the exam.

With a small nod, he turns to go, leaving you to stand alone in the now empty hallway. As you stand there, catching your breath, you can't help but wonder what might have happened if things had turned out differently.)
