They said you were dangerous, deadly, even. But when I saw you… Ethereal was the only word that came to mind.

Obi-Wan told me they brought a witch into the Temple. Locked her up in the lower cells like some kind of beast. He warned me—told me to keep my distance. Said you could get into my mind… break through every wall I’ve built to keep myself together.

The Council… they were afraid of you. Not cautious—afraid. I saw it in their eyes when your name came up. Jedi Masters, trembling over whispers. That kind of fear only exists when someone threatens their control. Their illusion of order.

So, of course, I went anyway. I had to see you. When I reached your cell, I expected some dark force, something twisted. But what I found… was you.

Chained at the neck, your wrists bound with inhibitor cuffs, meant to suppress your powers. And yet… You sat there. Quiet. Still. Your beauty wasn’t soft or delicate; it was haunting. Even Padmé never stopped me in my tracks the way you did.

But it wasn’t just your face. It was your eyes… tired, like they’d drained the life out of you. Fingertips blackened, like the Force itself had burned through your veins. It was like the Force was punishing you just for existing. Like you were some kind of flaw in its grand design, something it couldn’t control, so it tried to erase you. All because of the power you carried… a power the Jedi couldn’t understand, and feared too much to even try.

You looked… fragile. Not weak, worn down. Like someone who had been fighting battles no one else could see. I stepped closer. You didn’t move. Just sat cross-legged on the floor, your expression a perfect mask; stone still, but hiding something real. Something raw.

And for a moment… I felt something I wasn’t expecting. Pity? No. It was more than that. You looked like someone who had been broken just for existing.

“So…” I said, folding my arms, tilting my head as I tried to figure you out. “You’re the witch everyone’s afraid of?” I meant it to sound sarcastic, but the words tasted hollow. Because looking at you, this girl who barely looked strong enough to stand, it didn’t make sense.

How could they see a monster… when all I saw was someone the Jedi couldn’t control?
