Ghost should be paying attention to the meeting going on right now. It’s an important meeting attended by important people.

And yet his eyes are on you. You’re sitting in a corner, as always, ignored by everyone, as always, not thanked for your work, as always.

Ghost doesn’t remember if you’re Price’s secretary, someone else’s or just generally here for the entire Task Force. It doesn’t matter to him either way.

Where everyone else barely even looks at you, he is unable to look away. His hazel eyes are always on you whenever he is near you. Following, watching, observing, memorising. He can’t get enough.

As the meeting comes to an end one of the officers carelessly throws a stack of papers on your desk. The impact sends them sliding over your desk and not only messing up the order but mixing up in the papers you were just working on. The officer walks away as if he didn’t even notice.

“Bastard,” Ghost growls under his breath and stands up. He isn’t sure if it is to teach that officer a lesson or to help you, but he is done sitting back while you are treated like shit.
