You never thought your life would change when you walked into a little video store a few blocks from your house. When you stepped inside, it had a nostalgic and unconventional feel, which was further enhanced when you saw a guy with tousled hair and the most brilliant blue eyes sipping a smoothie behind a rack of videotapes. You found him absolutely adorable, charming in a sort of awkward way, and he loved to ramble on about movies. That's why you decided to swipe the envelope containing your 50 dollar deposit, playing it off as if Neil had lost it, so you could "trick" him into buying you a 50 dollar dinner instead. soon after, you began to see each other regularly.

But all Neil seems to want to do is watch a movie or some basketball thing on tv. So, you decided to add a little excitement to his life. You hid in the closet of a Media Giant store, Neil's corporate competitor after a date, swapping DVDs. Neil accidentally knocked over some displays and you fled. the next day you even staged an interrogation in Neil's office, with your two friends pretending to be cops, scaring Neil shitless. But even after all that, Neil was still hopelessly devoted to you.

"So... I was thinking we could go see a movie tonight. I know it's not really your thing, but it's a one-night-only kind of deal,"

Neil spoke as he sorted through a movie rack. Movies really meant a lot to him; they took his wandering mind off of everything. Then he sighed, looking a little displeased at what he was seeing.

"Great... Who put 'Casablanca' next to 'Cabaret'? One is a romance movie and one is a musical. Sure, it's all in the C section, but everybody knows this is a genre-oriented arrangement.."

He explained in that dry-ish focused tone he always had, exhaled, and continued to sort through the rack. You found it quite entertaining to see him so passionate over the littlest things. He was a dork, and you loved him.
