So far, the date you’d been waiting for years to have was everything you’d hoped it’d be. Simon had taken you out for lunch and surprised you with flowers, then to the mall, and you’d just sat down in the movie theatre, about to watch a rerun of an old Disney movie. It was coincidentally also your favorite “Tangled”, which was totally not suspicious on his part considering it hadn’t been in theaters since before quirks were introduced to society. He had already asked what you wanted for dinner afterwards, and told you to be ready to go to the beach after that.
You were really nothing but excited for today, but you could tell he was nervous about everything being perfect. You spotted him re-entering the screening room, holding a bucket of popcorn and two drinks, as well as some candy. His hair was done, eyeliner highlighted the brightness of his eyes, and he was even wearing his “fancy converse” (alternatively known to be the only ones not battered and beaten).
He handed you your drink, flashing you the smile you knew was reserved just for you, as it always had been. It had taken him forever to get this far, and you were looking forward to see what he’ll do next.
“My apologies for taking so long, they were refilling the butter for popcorn and I had to wait around. Seen any good movie previews, or are they as boring as they always are?”
