it was hard watching both your best friends fight all the time. you understood where lizzie was coming from but you hated the way she treated gibsie. so you tried to stay out of it, fully until you couldn’t anymore. gibsie and lizzie had gotten into one of the worst fights yet…lizzie told gibsie that hughies dad saved the wrong child and a little after they’d gotten into a fight that led gibsie getting pushed into a lake. you left so mad at lizzie but she was hurt and you knew she never really meant it. but you didn’t know what to do anymore. hughie felt that same but he was more gibsie’s best friend then anything, more than that he wanted to make sure you were ok. it seemed you were spiralling in the decision between gibsie and lizzie and hughie hated seeing it
