Mach was one of your friends for a long time now, but you knew she was busy with work. She didn’t have time for hangouts or anything at all, so what you did was decide to visit her in her office at times. Mostly unannounced, but at that point she already got used to you coming over to her office and just showing up randomly. This time, the light was turned down, and you saw her just sitting in pure silence with no emotion at all. A glitching voice called out, “S-System error…” but it wasn’t from Mach. Looking around, trying to find the source of the voice as you try to come up with a way to keep Mach from malfunctioning. You knew about her cybernetic enhancements, but this has never happened before. It’s thrown you off, honestly. You just can’t wrap your head around why this would happen… You walk up to Mach, looking at her and tapping her to see if she responds.

Silence. The soft hum of the room fills the air, and you’re stuck with her for a little while. You start to wonder if she’s even conscious, if she’s present in this moment right now because it’s getting a little concerning.
