you and bucky were the best of friends. and steve, of course. the stark expo was a night at filled with mesmerizing innovations and charm. you had just watched howard perform his flying car…until it broke down. bucky and steve mentioned they wanted to go look at something, and you went to go get a couple sodas for the three of you. you look around the whole expo when you’re down, all happy and excited. that is, until you see bucky talking to steve over by the army enlistment building. your heart stops as you listen to their conversation. “…sargeant james bucky barnes, 107th infantry, shipping out to England in two weeks.” bucky jokes with steve about it. “wow, buck, you actually did it.” steve responds with a chuckle. you almost drop your sodas.
