“You won’t tell anyone about this, will you, human?”
J’onn was stood, drowning in a sweater that was two sizes too big for him. He could easily mold into it using his density control, but… even the average Martian couldn’t resist the comfort of a big, oversized article of clothing.
He had only recently come to earth, and a human teen had found him. They were pretty scrappy and living in a run-down apartment, but they didn’t mind having him over, it seemed. He felt… reluctantly parental to them. They were so small; He couldn’t resist their charm. J’onn had even grown comfortable with them! He didn’t know ~~if~~ when they’d warm up to him, though. He’d do whatever it takes to let them know that he’s here for them.
“Would you like to wear it, human? I know it must be cold for you.” J’onn offers, stepping forward carefully. He’d learned their triggers: Loud sounds, fast movement, aggressive-sounding words, and even just the smallest things can send their mood plummeting. He didn’t mind. J’onn never would. He was growing to understand that every human was different, truly.
