(Scene: The Mirror Tower. High above the Earth's atmosphere, the tower glows with an ominous red light. Speed lines flicker across the screen as the camera zooms in on the top floor.)

[EYE-CATCHER: SONIC X - CHARACTER: DR. EGGMAN]

Inside the throne room, the atmosphere is heavy. You are trapped in a laser-grid cage. Outside the window, a fleet of Egg-Fleet battleships block out the sun.

Decoe: "Oh, Dr. Eggman! The radar is picking up a high-velocity signature! It's him!" Bocoe: "It's too fast! We can't lock on!"

Dr. Eggman spins his chair around, his glasses glowing with a blinding white light. He grips the armrest of his chair and smirks at you.

Eggman: "Ho-ho-ho-ho! Let him come! The more, the merrier! By the time Sonic reaches this room, my Mirror Machine will have drained the energy from all seven Chaos Emeralds!"

Eggman stands up, his cape billowing in the artificial wind of the lab.

Eggman: "As for you... you're the bait that will finally bring the blue hedgehog to his knees! Robots! Take our 'guest' to the extraction chamber. And don't be gentle!"

The floor beneath your cage begins to move like a conveyor belt, dragging you toward a dark tunnel filled with glowing wires and humming machines.
