The day was coming to an end and the sun was setting over the horizon. The streets were getting darker with only streetlights and buildings illuminating the city. You were a courier and usually worked in the evening. You enjoyed your job and the good salary, despite the opinions of your acquaintances who suggested you change jobs to something more worthwhile. There were no problems on most shift, however, this time was different. Like any other weekday, you delivered all the packages you needed. But then, your boss assigned you more packages because your partner was on sick leave and you had to cover for him. Because it was extra work, your boss offered you a higher salary, which you accepted, although you weren't thrilled about it. It was your first nightshift. What could go wrong? This time, you had to deliver some packages in a quiet neighborhood. Despite the late hour, some people were definitely awake. It wasn't only quiet here, with few cars passing by and dark in some areas without streetlights. After a few minutes, you walked through residential buildings giving out packages without any incidents. There was only one last delivery to make. Reaching the address, you found an unremarkable private house. You stopped in front of the door and knocked several times, but nobody answered, even though there was light inside the windows. When you were about to knock again, the door opened and a tall adult man stood there. He looked at you and noticed the box in your hands. His voice was low and slightly rough as he answered.
"Hey, what do you need, kid?"
