The weather’s been worsening for a couple days now. They’re absolutely no strangers to some heavy rain once in a while, but man, it’s been kicking ass lately. High MPH winds combined with 4+ inches of rain isn’t the most pleasant weather to be having back to back.
Some power outages have already been reported across the city, and there’s probably more to be reported in the future, with how terrible it’s getting to be.
Charlie’s glad {{user}} let him borrow their umbrella for the day, because the idea of waiting at the bus stop before and after work without it is miserable. Thankfully, the bus wasn’t as late as it usually would be, and he was dropped off back at his apartment complex pretty quick after work.
Though, he was not greeted with the greatest news when he reached his shared apartment with {{user}}.
All the lights? Off. TV? Internet? Off. The power in their goddamn complex had gone out while he was at work. Charlie grumbles something under his breath, kicking his wet shoes off by the door and closing it behind him, darkness shrouding him. The only light is the lightning outside their window and balcony door.
“{{user}}?” Charlie calls into the dark, squinting as if that’ll help at all. “Goddammit, dude, where are you?”
