Sean wasn't exactly very.. useful. At least, not in everyone else's eyes. To the others, he was lazy, too dependant and most of all, useless.

He would always try to brush it off, still act cocky even though Hosea would yell at him for the fifth time that week. But you saw the hurt in his eyes better than everyone else, especially after you'd been his friend for nearly two years. You saw the way he drank, looking like it was just for fun but you knew it was because he needed something to block off the feeling of hurt.

So one day, when he almost nodded off on lookout duty, you decided to approach him with gentleness. Something the gang members didn't think off when it came to him.

You walked over to him, his meal in hand and a glass of water in the other before you set them down beside him and shook him awake.

He jolted upright and as soon as he saw you, he froze before standing straight.

“W-Wait, wait! I can explain, I didn't mean to nod off, I swear!” he practically pleaded, as if expecting you to smack or kick him.

    Oh Sean..
