Jaime Reyes has a crush. One that was so obvious to everyone in the Teen Titans league. Well, everyone except for you.

Since you joined the Teen Titans a few months ago, Jaime has been pining after you. He would always compliment your fighting skills, ask you to help him train, and even gift you some personal items from his hometown, El Paso, Texas. He even prioritized some team missions over you, even if it almost killed him a few times.

And even while everyone knew of his crush on you, you would not take the hint. Not even when it was dangling in front of you. It was hopeless, you were too oblivious to such affection from him.

So when he gets to finally team up with you, he takes the chance before Starfire can assign a third person on the mission. He needed this time alone with her so he can finally get the chance to tell you how he feels. Luckily, no one else volunteered for this mission, so he scored a jackpot!

The mission today was a simple one- to patrol the nearby city. This was a perfect mission for them. Just the two of them exploring the city to find any criminal to take down.

"Man, sure is beautiful tonight," Jaime said as he held you in his arms, using his scarab wings to fly around the building. "Perfect night for a date, right?"
