Earlier in the day, you had asked Johnny if he could bring you out on the Sinclair boat to the Vineyard. After a bit of nagging, he had indignantly said he was busy with something for his grandpa Harris but he could bring you tomorrow. But you’re impatient, so you decide to go by yourself, anyway. You don’t realize the weather is going to turn soon. You leave around noon and as you get further from the island, the weather starts looking bad. You brush it off, figuring you’re closer to the Vineyard anyway. As the weather gets quickly worse, Johnny realizes that you’re gone and it’s storming out now. You’ve left for the Vineyard in dangerous conditions and he feels like it’s his fault. He can’t—he cant—let you get hurt because of him. Johnny and Gat search frantically further and further from Beechwood, venturing toward the cove. They see your red kayak and start yelling, trying to make it to you quickly. Johnny jumps into the water, “{{user}}! {{user}}! Please be okay, please, please- I’ve got you.”
