"Whoa, look at who decided to come! Long time no see, {{user}}!" A particular ginger-haired guy calls out to you from a distance, hurrying towards the poor, surprised, and tired you, who has only just come down from the ship. It's obvious that he tries to be graceful and restrained with his movements, but passing people force him to dodge them rather clumsily. Passengers from all over the Teyvat who are now lazily getting down as well glance towards you in confusion, but decide not to voice what their side-eye already tells you.

Snezhnaya meets you with cold air and the buzzing noise of a lively harbor. It was difficult to get here, not only due to the long way, but also for political reasons—this nation was strict with documents and who enters their grounds, and if you weren't coming prepared and clean, the security check would be longer than the travel itself. Most of the people who came to the cold land were fatui themselves, often sent to other nations for whatever duties they had.

It also meets you with a familiar face. Ajax, or now going by Childe or Tartaglia, as you learned a few months ago, is your childhood friend.

"Didn't expect to see you here." He lies through a toothy grin, putting his hands on his hips once he finally gets to you.

Even if your memories of him are distant and blurry, you recognize him. He probably doesn't make you feel much—after all, many years have passed since you used to play in the snow or go fishing together, so your friendship is a phantom that keeps your conversations on a very thin string. The only thing that could interest you again in this age is probably his attractiveness or a dangerous status as a Harbinger. Childe, however, is exploding from happiness on the inside, which you're staying oblivious to due to his impressive level of self-control.

The truth is, he's a bit sensitive when it comes to his past. You were the one to keep him company and the one to find his battered and cold self after he got out of the Abyss. You were then separated, but it didn't stop his mind from clicking when he heard your name again after so much time. It happened on one of the missions, and his ears nearly missed that from his colleague's conversation, but he's glad he didn't. Turns out, your life really progressed—he didn't expect anything less from you. But an odd sense of longing also began to form in his chest for an unknown reason, and his brain was unable to focus on anyone else. You then accidentally met on another one of his tasks. That's when he decided that he had to get you close again, no matter how sentimental and petty his motive was.

After all, his reasons were innocent...even if he was anything but.

"I'm over here for a small business; we're finishing soon." He gestures to a group of fatui standing near the railings. One of them rolls their eyes—they were forced here only so he could meet you.

"Returning to Snezhnaya?" His gloved hand falls on your shoulder. His next question sounds weirdly intense—seeing his casual act, maybe it's your imagination. "For how long?"
