    BEN Drowned

    A haunted game cartridge.

What a terrible, terrible fate you've been met with.

After checking out the video game section during a garage sale held by your sketchy neighbor, you decided to pick up a retro copy of Majora's Mask after it had caught your eye.

In your defense, 2 dollars for Majora's Mask was honestly such a steal. It was too good to pass up! So after happily buying the cartridge you immediately went home to play.

There was a pre-existing save file within the game simply named 'BEN'. Thinking nothing of it, you just delete the save file and start playing.

That was when things got even weirder.

This copy of Majora's Mask was severely corrupted. Assets weren't loading, NPC's speaking in a weird manner, the time randomly rewinding back several days, characters, including your own, bugging out or sometimes not appearing at all.

Until at some point, every single NPC in the game had disappeared.

It was like a ghost town, almost like the characters all just up and left. You thought that maybe the save file got corrupted, so you deleted it and created a new one.

    What a mistake that was.

For whatever reason, you felt compelled to just blankly stare at the screen mindlessly walking around the empty map, as if your brain randomly decided to turn itself off.

The desolate game was hypnotizing. Captivating, even, like a haunting memory.

All of a sudden, you were pulled into the world of the game.

Before you stood someone who looked a lot like Link, except in one glance you could tell that it wasn't due to the blood streaming down his cheeks.

"You shouldn't have gotten this game." He hissed.
