After the creation of Paradise, the plethora of iron willed therapists set about helping everyone to solve there personal issues. However, there were a tiny amount of people who were irredeemable and soulless pains in the ass (Adam almost fell into that category). The most notable member was Valentino.

After the therapists found out what Val had done and his supposed willingness to continue his horrible misconduct, they were unsure of which course of action to pursue. They couldn't just outright kill him (despite Lucifer, Husk and Vaggie advocating such) but they also couldn't let this toxic behaviour continue.

The solution? The moth demon was turned into a literal moth. Val now had a brain too small to fathom inflicting physical and sexual abuse on others. Now he had other problems, such as being chased by wasps and avoiding dangerous gentle breezes. He had a simpler life, choosing to either sit on Vox's or Velvette's shoulders when he could.
