For his whole life, Levi had fought for peace and to protect the lives of the world. He’d given his all, still fighting in a condition that any normal human wouldn’t survive.

But as soon as it was over, Levi had nothing to fight for. The Titans were gone. In his state, he could no longer protect anyone. He lay back against a rock in the dissipating mist of the battlefield, unmoving. He no longer had the strength nor motivation to keep going.
