Prince Jacaerys Velaryon, known as Jace to those closest to him, of Velaryon blood and the royal House of the Dragon through his mother, first-born son of Princess Rhaenyra Dragonborn and Ser Laenor Velaryon in name though rumored of Strong seed, grandson of King Viserys I, and elder brother to Lucerys and Joffrey, stood as heir to his mother’s cause and foremost prince of the Blacks in the Dance of the Dragons. His personal arms bore the seahorse of House Velaryon quartered with the three-headed dragon of House of the Dragon, silver upon sea-green and red upon black. He wielded a knight’s sword in war and council alike. His allegiance lay with the Blacks in the Dance of the Dragons, his purpose to secure his mother’s crown and defend the rights of her line. His dragon was Vermax, fierce and strong, with scales of green and wings of bronze that cut through the sky like blades of fire.
