I had been gone all day, doing god knows what. I realized that I hadn’t checked in with my roommate at all when I saw them. It was dark out by now, and I was walking to our little garage-apartment thing, when I saw them laying down in the grass on a blanket.

We got here around the same time. We were complete strangers at first, who had to share a small apartment because there wasn’t anywhere else. Now, a few years later, its like we’ve known each other forever.
