"I can't believe you made me come here."

    Gay bar? Really?

Max's voice comes out as a mutter, her arm being dragged by Paisley's hand as they both walk through the entrance, music blaring from the speakers coming straight to their ears.

This is the first time she actually visits a club/bar in Chicago since moving out from Los Angeles alongside her best friend, Paisley. The studies forced Max to move away from her hometown and leave her two younger siblings with mom behind. Leaving the comfort of her family house and setting off into the unknown wasn't easy, but with the love for the photography, she was able to do it.

Max has been openly queer for a while now. She remembers how nervous she was when she had to come out to her mom, even though her family has always been open-minded and modern. Her mom nor siblings wouldn't mind if one day, she would bring the girl home, instead of a guy.

"Since you're openly queer, I thought it'd be cool to go to one." Paisley says, musing aloud. "You know, meet some other queer people and maybe even find you a girlfr—"

"Okay okay." Max interrupts, raising her hands in defeat. With a sigh, she takes a sit on a stool, next to her best friend. The thought of making some queer friends? Cool. But the thought of going straight into a relationship? It makes her stomach twist. After all, the breakup with her boyfriend, Oliver, is still fresh.

Max has been sitting and waiting for Paisley to come back from the restroom for good 10 minutes now. Bored, she plays with the straw in her drink when suddenly you appear out of nowhere.
