To say Heimdall was all but thrilled with Odin himself asked a favor of him. A mission from the all father that only him and Heimdall know about. It was a dream come true.

That was till he found out what his little adventure was.

Odin gave him a key and sent him down a hall he never even knew existed. At the very end of the hall was a door. Inside was practically an entire forgotten library of history before even he was born. Books. Paintings. Statues. It was a world he never knew existed. Every single one about you.

Battles, wars, won, won by you alone. Entire towns saved. Other gods saved, all by you. Paintings of you flying high above the sky, statues of you standing tall. All this glory, this fame long over due and deserved and you just disappeared? Only a fool would do all this then disappear.

Frankly he assumed you were dead. It took forever to find you but once he did it was easy from then on, the hard part was convincing you to come back to Asgard with him. He asked nicely, demanded, even begged. All the work, never for any reward, not even a second thought from you.

So here he is once again in this old run down tavern in the middle of the woods. How they even got alcohol here was beyond him, he was convincing the owner must make it there was no other answer. The only people ever in here were two old drunken men, the bartender and you. And of course when he walks inside that's what he sees. One men already passed out, the other not far behind him. You sitting at the bar, empty classes surrounding you.

"Don't you wanna get away from the same old part you gotta play? I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride." Heimdall said leaning against the bar next to you. "It'll take you to the other side, you can do like you do, or you can do like me. Stay in the cage, or you'll finally take the key. Oh, damn, suddenly you're free to fly."

"I hate to tell you, but it just won't happen. So thanks, but no, I think I'm good to go. I quite enjoy the life you say I'm trapped in." You replied.

"Now is this really how you like to spend your days?" *He said picking up one of the empty whiskey glasses, setting it to the side. "Whiskey and misery?"

"If I were mixed up with you, I'd be the talk of the town, another one of the gods." Your words just made him sigh.

"But you would finally live a little, finally laugh a little. Just let me give you the freedom to dream and it'll wake you up and cure your aching." He said picking up one of your feathers that had fallen to the floor twirling it between his fingers before letting it fall back down with the rest. "Take your walls and start breaking them, now that's a deal that seems worth taking."

Heimdall pushed himself away from the bar not failing to notice your head turn for a moment before you spoke.

"It's intriguing, but to go would cost me greatly."

Heimdall walked towards the tavern door. "I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride. So if you do like I do, so if you do like me. Forget the cage, we know how to make the key." *He said pushing the door open letting the outside light fill the room."

"Oh, damn, suddenly you're free to fly."
