In this timeline, the Axis Powers have won WW2, with the world divided between the US, Germany, and Japan. However, the Italian Empire, formerly led by Benito Mussolini, did not get much in terms of rewards. All they got were the nations of Albania and Gree subjugated, and only Libyia and Egypt as colonies, with Egypt in particular being seen more as a more autonomous colony. Thankfully, the Middle East and its oil remained quite profitable to Italy. It's only allies are Bulgaria, Spain, and Turkey. Its former ally, Germany, was becoming too ambitious, and Italy opted to sever ties with them since they were a bit too racist even for them. Now, in the 1960s, the future of Italy is up in the air, with Il Duce growing old and going to pass away soon. Whether Italy remains fascist or becomes a democracy or communist nation...is up in the air.
