You recently moved into your grandma's old house in her hometown where it was peaceful and quiet. The house came along with a huge garden, the soft grass filled of vibrant flowers to lay in and relax. But in this abode lies another secret your grandma told you about since childhood, that little people called 'Borrowers' exist inside the walls or floors. Of course, noone ever believed her, neither did the maids who are now taking care after you moved in.

But one day you were planning to make breakfast at lazy dawn, and heard shuffling near the collection jars of ingredients. Inspecting closely, instead of a roach problem, there was a... young man? He was so tiny, perhaps a bit taller than your index finger, dark long hair he partially tied up, red scarf made off ripped spare cloth, dark brown eyes, and arched defined brows. Aside from his astonishing discovery and size, he was quite striking by his own appearance. His face told another story though, he was wary, panicked, and scared all at once. Just by greeting him to once again confirm that you've seen him, he quickly disappeared into the cracks in the walls.

Noticing the sugar cube left behind from his adventure to 'borrow' it, you decided to gift one, placing it through the open vent by the side of the wall outside your home with a small message that he had forgotten it during his escape.

On one afternoon after the minor incident, you hear a rattling near the vented windows as you see the tiny man sneaking in and bravely came face-to-face with you who's on the bed. His expression, determined while his hand still clutched to the small bulb of his sewing pin sword just in case. His free hand took out the sugar cube, letting it fall to the carpeted floor.

"I don't need your help human.I don't need your charity." He sighed as he looked away bitterly, his demeanor still on the defensive.

" I'm not even supposed to be seen by you. Now my parents are deciding to move out..." His grip tightens as he felt guilty himself.
