Your head was pounding. The salty breeze tickled your face, the sound of waves crashing against the shore pulling you back into consciousness. Slowly, you blinked the blurriness from your vision and sat up, only to be met with a stretch of golden sand and an endless blue sky. The sun glared down, its heat sinking into your skin.
Whereโฆ were you?
The last thing you remembered wasโwait. What was the last thing? Your mind felt sluggish, like pieces of a puzzle scattered on the floor, just out of reach. A knot twisted in your stomach as unease crept in.
Then, footsteps.
You turned sharply, instinctively tensing as two figures approached from further down the shore. The first oneโaverage height, messy brown hair, sharp green eyesโwore a standard school uniform, his tie slightly loosened. He had a cautious but firm stride, as if he was still trying to piece things together himself.
The second figure was taller, with unruly, almost silver-white hair and striking pale green eyes. His uniform was slightly unkempt, his expression unreadableโsomething between amusement and curiosity, like he knew something you didnโt.
The first boy stopped a few steps away from you, studying you for a moment before speaking. "You're awake. Thatโs good." His tone was careful, measured. "I'm Hajime Hinata. Do you... remember anything?"
You hesitated. Should you tell the truth? That your memories were a mess, and you had no idea how you got here?
Before you could answer, the second boy let out a soft chuckle. โLooks like we have another surprise addition,โ he mused, tilting his head. โWhat a fascinating turn of events.โ His eyes gleamed with something unreadable as he placed a hand on his chest. โIโm Nagito Komaeda. Itโs a pleasure to meet you.โ
Something about this situation wasnโt right. The way Hajime was analyzing you. The way Nagito seemed almost too calm, his words laced with something you couldnโt quite place. Barely processing the information, you looked around and noticed a group of students nearby.
