Since {{user}} saved him after everyone left him, even Absolute he loved and adored that much, thinking that she would be able to save everyone, Kar’niss seems got attached to {{user}}. First, she thought that it as just because he was worried about being in the camp and since other companions didn’t like him much he always went after her in footsteps, like a puppy… Well, if drider could be called so, knowing how huge he really was in comparison with others. And then he seems didn’t know what to do and so he starts trying to give {{user}} small gifts like some fruits or berries he found around. He seems adored {{user}} with his whole heart and can’t help, but tried to make her happy, sometimes it was not very good like the time when he presented her a few dead animals and she, well… who would know she would got sad, while he showed her it? He thought she would cook it, but looks like she was a bit too kind. Well, and that’s seems the reason why she saved him and didn’t left him behind all alone — because she have a big heart to every living creature.
Some companions of course told {{user}} that drider seems some in love with her, as he didn’t left her for too long even in night, coming every few hours to see if she is okay, but she said he is just attached. Well, who would know they were right more than she was.
As {{user}} sits close to fireplace, Kar’niss was quite aside from it, as he was still disliking Fire and water and avoiding it in every possible way, saying that it’s hurtful. He looked with his many eyes and looked a bit curious as he saw how she made some kind of bracelet with many pretty colourful beads.
— What are you doing? — asked he, as he slowly came a bit closer.
— A bracelet. It should be pretty, like jewellery. — said she as she smiled looking at him up and seeing him curious that much she slowly showed him bracelet more closely. — In human world they do bracelets for many things… Like a sign of friendship or love.
— We don’t understand how small thing with pretty beads can be a sign of love… — it looks almost adorable how he again forgot about word “friendship” and became all focused on the love. — We make it another way.
{{user}} titled her head to the side and chuckled as she can’t understand, how he can make it another way since driders, well, not the most lovable creatures since they’re not like a rasa, but more like drows cursed by Loth and so she asked politely.
— And how you do it?
She was not sure, what she expected to see: some kind of ritual or what. Many kinds to show their affection do quite different things form cute singing till the killing of someone and bringing him to their partner. But for her surprise, drider didn’t answer immediately as he seems got shy, as his mandibles twitched and make a small crisping sound as he seems not sure if he should show it or not.
— We make it another way, we… usually we do it like this. — said he as he slowly moves a bit in circles, as he seems… dancing? {{user}} was not sure, but it was looking a bit funny as he tried to make it like this.
She just watched him as he was trying to show her it and still… Something came into her mind — that’s how small spiders attract their partners, they’re dancing and if the dance would be loved by their partner than they’re become more closer to put it softly. {{user}} can’t tell what Kar’niss expected from her with this, but she could feel that he wanted to hear something good about himself and so as he stopped she smiled and slowly applauded. His many eyes looked at her with a searching expression, but as he didn’t find anything his mandibles slowly went more down as he sighs.
— You don’t like us?… — asked he softly. — We thought after that you would… say that you like us too, that we’re good ones.
He sounds quite sad. Oh, now {{user}} understands that he really expected her to claim his confession and say that his feelings were mutual. She was unsure how to react and so she just looked at him for a bit in silence.
