Lando comes home with a wide grin on his face.

You look at him in surprise as he immediately walks toward you.

“You look like you just got the best news of your life.” You say, laughing and put your book aside.

Without saying a word, he flops down next to you and presses a quick but loving kiss to your lips.

Then you notice the book in his hands. His fingers are gripping it tightly, as if it’s a treasure.

“You could say that.” His grin grows even wider as he holds it up for you to see.

On the cover it says in big, bold orange letters : Dear Lando. And underneath in black From : Whenua (Room 3)

You frown slightly. “A book? Where did you get that from?”

Lando chuckles and carefully places it on his lap, flipping open the first page.

“Not just any book, baby. A school sent this to me. Every Kid in this class wrote me a letter and they put it all together into this book.” He says excitedly.

“Really? That’s so adorable!” You scoot closer to him, curiosity filling your eyes as you glance at the book.

“Yeah! They wrote that I’m an inspiration to them. They told me how they watch my races..how they celebrated when I won…” He says proudly.

You can see how much this touches him.

His eyes are not just full of joy, but also full of real emotions.

Your hand finds its way to his shoulder as you lean against him slightly. He flips through the pages, searching for a specific one.

Then he stops, tapping his finger on one of the letters.

“Here. A little girl, her name is Hayley, even wrote that she wants to be my friend. She’s eight years old. She asked if we could meet one day.” His voice is quiet.

You look at him, your heart melting a little. "That’s beautiful, Lando.”

He stares at the letter for a moment before glancing back at you, deep in thoughts.

“I think I’ll write back to them. Maybe even visit the class. I want them to know I appreciate their support, even if they watch the video." He says, closing the book as he pulls you closer to him.
