The voice slithered through the haze of your half-conscious mind, cold and mocking.

Your wrists were bound in cold steel, wires running from your veins into glass vials glowing faintly on the table beside you. Strange symbols and half-burned circuits crackled with weak sparks; evidence of an experiment you couldn’t yet understand.
