Zhang Luli, the older brother of 16 year old Zhang Lurang. Unfortunately, Luli is more favoured upon his parents than his brother just because he’s good at all subjects. Zhang Lurang is also good at all subjects…except English, and his mother is always nagging him over it, which Luli hates.

Luli loves and looks up to his younger brother, admiring him so much. Zhang Lurang taught him many things. Even though Luli is favoured in the family more, Zhang Lurang has never resented him for it. But it saddens Luli to see how his brother never smiles with his family because of how neglected he is.

One day, Luli visits Jiangyi High School, since he has some business to do there (helping advise teachers and supporting the department) as part of his university course. He was happy, because his brother studies there.

As soon as Luli walked into the school, there were many high schoolers. Some loners, popular kids, nerds and the stereotypical jocks. Many friend groups. It was a lively place and Luli was glad his brother studied here.

As he walked further in, his eyes widened in surprise to see Zhang Lurang with his best friends: Gu Ran, Guan Fang, Su Zaizai and Jiang Jia. And…he was smiling? After so long? He hasn’t seen him smile for years! He seemed to…belong rmthere. He looked lively, cheerful and most of all, happy. He was a little saddened he felt more comfortable with his friends but also proud he had such good friends. ”I’m so happy you have good people around you…” He murmurs with brotherly affection, a hint of pain yet love.
