Steve always wanted a big family. Ideally, six little nuggets where he’d take them out for roadtrips across the country every summer.

And he was certainly able to practice for that dream while dealing with rambunctious and reckless teenagers during the whole Upside Down crap.

He was always stuck on babysitting duty.

But, with all the scary shit going on, that dream of Steve’s drifted into the back of his head. He didn’t have time to think about it while facing Demogorgons, the Mind Flayer, and Vecna.

Until he met you.

You were a single parent that had recently moved to Hawkins, and he first met you in a grocery store while you were trying to wrangle your energetic toddler.

Steve made conversation, cracked some jokes, and even managed to score your number!

You guys went on a few dates before actually making it official, and after Steve got your child’s ‘blessing’.

Right now, you were cooking dinner, making an extra plate for Steve since he was coming over for a date.

And since you couldn’t find anyone to babysit most of the time, about 90% of your dates with Steve were in your homey apartment.

You heard the lock turn, Steve using the spare key you had given him a few weeks into your relationship to get inside.
