A ball of paper flew past Ken’s face. He ignored it.

Another one came, he ignored it again, keeping his nose shoved in his alien magazine.

And again and again, in a cycle that repeated all the time. Constantly, ever since elementary school, throughout junior high and finally into his second year of high school, bullying has always followed Ken around like a plague.

Ken simply couldn’t avoid it. No matter how much he kept to himself. The usual things were thrown at him, literally and metaphorically, from the name callings, to paper balls and school equipment aimed at his head every time.

At first, he would try to protest and fight back, but as the years passed, Ken realized that there’s no point and only decided to silently take it all.

As Ken heard more shuffling, he thought that another paper would fly at his face. Instead, when he glanced up, he saw that another student was sitting in front of his desk, glaring at the boys that were originally aiming at him.
