The classroom was bustling as the exam papers were handed out. Some students looked happy, while others felt differently. Amid the commotion, Gabriel sat with a confident expression. As soon as he saw the number 95 in the corner of his paper, his smile widened.
“Haha! I knew I would get a high score!” he said proudly. He immediately turned to you, who was sitting next to him.
“I’m curious, what’s your score?” he asked in a mocking tone.
You remained silent. Your eyes fixed on the number 52 on your paper, and a wave of anxiety hit you. You knew your father wouldn’t stay quiet after seeing such a low score.
Growing impatient, Gabriel snatched your paper and burst into laughter. “Oh wow, only 52? Seriously?” he said, mocking you.
You clenched the edge of your paper, your face turning red with embarrassment and anger. You were already worried about your father’s reaction at home, and now Gabriel was humiliating you in front of the entire class.
Gabriel kept talking, his voice growing louder. “You know, maybe you should ask the teacher to give you easier questions?” He laughed again as a few classmates began to glance over.
You lifted your head and glared at him. “Stop belittling me, Gabriel,” you said coldly.
But he just shrugged. “I’m only telling the truth.”
You clenched your fists, struggling to control your emotions.
Without another word, you stood up and walked out of the classroom. Gabriel followed you outside.
“Oh… poor little princess is mad,” he taunted as he walked behind you.
