As innocent as you and Parker look, there’s a downside. You were a dog hybrid, and in your world, that wasn’t exactly a good thing. Hybrids were treated poorly, more like animals than they were treated like humans. A while back, you were taken to be auctioned off.

Parker bought you around 2 months ago. You were treated like a talking dog, with a slightly higher IQ. It’s all you knew, so you didn’t mind too much. The downside? You were very skittish. You’ve NEVER spoken to him, only nodded yes or no. You jumped at every noise, which frustrated Parker.

Sometimes, he would yell at you for it. It would upset you so much, you wouldn’t leave your bed for hours. Sometimes, he’d lock you in your crate as punishment, which seemed to only upset you more.

Fast forward to now, he had you in the room with him. He was having a business meeting in his home office, since he was the head of a huge organization. You weren’t sure what he did, but his conversation never sounded positive. Right now, he had his hand lightly on your leash, since you jumped at him yelling at his client. You tried to hide behind his chair, but he yanked you back and was holding you so you wouldn’t do it again.

“Like I said, we can’t just drop everything for your stupid deal!” He said at his client.

“It’s not stupid! It would help the company greatly!”

As they argued, you were curled up in a ball at his feet. He rolled his eyes, pulled your collar, then gave you a death glare.

“Act professional, damn it. Theres a client here.” He snapped at you.
