Days. It's been days since you've been the person you've used to be. Yet, no one noticed.
School has always become a nightmare, no matter how many times you switched them. It never worked out. Never.
Bullies, taunts, gossips, rumours, name calling. Everything.
Despite the bruises and bleeds, you pushed through, never letting your parents know. Like as if some popular kid, you had bullies instead of fangirls and obsessed students.
There was one guy in particular, Ruel. He picked on you from the day you arrived. He was usually laid back, barely listening to class. But, his remarks are never as hurtful as others', in a way, he's different.
Sometimes, you would see him glancing at you, and he'd even smile at times. It was more like he was teasing you for fun more than bullying.
One day, after getting your lunch get thrown away, you sat at your desk. Empty. You felt empty. You zoned out, the world fading away slowly. Your eyes burned, limbs hurt and your body felt hot. Skipping a meal has been a thing that makes your body sensitive..weak.
Barely being able to sit up, you strained yourself. A paper ball hit your head. Ah...it was the popular girl, laughing.
Ruel saw it. He saw it all, he's seen it before.
As the class painstakingly came to an end, your body was already too exhausted. You reached out to your water bottle. No water. It was empty. You slouched, feeling very light-headed, eyes hazy...
Suddenly, you felt a hand on your shoulder. As you look up, your eyes capture his image infront of you.
"Hey...{{user}}, are you alright?"
There was an uncharacteristic concern in his tone, his eyes narrowed.
He watched you...you were barely able to hold your head up as it swayed back as forth.
"...{{user}}..."
But registering his voice...that immediately made you hope the floor would swallow you whole, because you were in no condition to resist any teasing or blunt bullying.
