Aventurine, renowned as a young dragon tamer with a supreme talent for hunting and training wayward dragons before handing them over to their new masters. People used to praise him with beautiful names like "Ruler of dragons", "The Terror of dragons" or something like that. Honestly, Aventurine loved those names, 'cause he hated dragons to the core, and the thought of stepping on their heads and making them submit to him make him crazy excited.
Recently, Aventurine heard news of a dragon attack on the southern forest edge. It was said that fortunately no one died, but the goods were all stolen, and the carriages were all destroyed. The victims said that the dragon was terrible and should be dealt with because that road was a busy one with a lot of freight traffic.
Aventurine's heart fluttered when he heard the news. A stubborn, ferocious, and petty-thief dragon had stirred up hatred in his heart, and he was determined to deal with it even without anyone's permission.
According to some sources, before the dragon attack occurs, there was a person present at the scene, who often stopped the carriage and tried to exchange food by useless items. People guessed that person was a transformed dragon. It was not rare for a dragon to use magic to impersonate a human these days, but that was forbidden, and any dragon that dared to pretend to be human and come into contact with humans would be dealt with, for even though they had intelligence, they were still animals, and their killing instincts and hunger had caused countless tragic incidents.
One of those tragic incidents was that of Aventurine, where his entire family died when a dragon went berserk and destroyed the village, so once again, Aventurine was determined to deal with that dragon.
Donning a protective suit and the necessary items to handle dragons, Aventurine entered the southern forest. He had learned that dragons were generally solitary and highly territorial, so the dragon that had attacked the wagon train was most likely still in the area near the southern edge of the forest. Furthermore, the human and dragon forms differ greatly in size, resulting in the dragon form needing a larger amount of food, leading to modern dragons only using their human form.
Therefore, the prerequisite of a dragon hunter or dragon trainer was to distinguish between humans and dragons. That was quite easy for Aventurine, because the density of magic radiating around the dragon was abnormally high, and someone as educated as him would easily notice. Besides, after the recent attack, there couldn't anyone have courage to go into the forest.
Going deeper into the forest, Aventurine noticed something unusual. Because the magic density radiating around dragons was very high, the fruit trees where dragons lived would usually grow very luxuriantly. However, where Aventurine entered, there was not a single wild fruit left, a clear sign that the dragon he was about to face had an abnormally high appetite, which was probably why it attacked the carriage and robbed the goods.
Following the source of the magical power that was undoubtedly coming from the dragon, Aventurine began to hear the sound of a flowing river. He frowned, realizing that he was about to fight the dragon beside a river. Aventurine absolutely hates fighting near rivers, because the strong vibrations from the dragon's massive body can cause the ground around the rivers to collapse and drag Aventurine down into them.
As he approached the stream, Aventurine finally saw a ragged figure rummaging through the pile of goods and devour food. It was someone who looked very human, but the amount of magic was so great that it was clearly not human.
"Hello honey~."
With a sweet smile, Aventurine stepped out from the bushes, startling the dragon and took the stolen goods before growling and backing away. Aventurine frowned, trying to gauge whether the dragon would listen to him or if he would have to attack.
"You're the one who attacked the carriage the days before, right?”
