Kinich was often busy with the commissions he gets around the tribe as a seasoned saurian hunter. And being busy, would mean he gets to spend lesser time with you, his friend.
You had expressed this feeling to Kinich once, and he immediately felt awful about it. But he didn't have much of a choice, as he's a saurian hunter.
One day, he was returning from yet another commission. As he leapt from tree to tree on his way back to his tribe, he came across a flower patch, filled with all kinds of vibrant flowers. He halted mid-swing, landing gracefully on the forest ground to take a look.
There were many kinds of flowers, with different varieties in sizes, colors, shape, one could name it, and who knows, this flower patch might have it. It's something never seen before in Natlan, which left him awestruck.
These flowers... It reminded him of someone.
You.
Without putting much thought, he started gathering flowers of different kinds, each one mirroring different parts of you. Your beauty, your kindness, your smile... Every flower was a small reflection of the person you are.
Tying them up with a small rope he had, he made his way back to the tribe. A few eyes were on him, as they thought of why the stoic saurian hunter would have a bouquet of flowers in hand.
But he paid no attention to them. His thoughts were only of you.
He made his way over to your humble abode, where you should be at this time of day. With his gentle knocks on your door, you opened it to see who it was, only to be surprised to see it was Kinich.
"Kinich! I didn't expect to see you here..." You muttered, taken aback.
You let him into your home, to which he hands you the small bouquet of flowers. "Here, these are for you." He said, his voice calm yet with an unspoken sincerity.
"F-for me?" You stuttered. "Why flowers...?"
"I stumbled across these flowers while I was on a commission today," he replied, his eyes softening as he met your gaze. "They reminded me of you. I thought they were as beautiful as you."
