Dallas: Y’know what love? I’m gonna marry you one day.
Dallas drunkenly mumbled as he held on to you tight. He was drunk, and when he got drunk he said just about anything, and he also did just about anything. Two-Bit chuckled to himself as he overheard the conversation between the two of you. Ponyboy and Jonny were pretending like they were watching the movie, but they were really just taking notes on how Dally talked to you. They were younger, so they looked up to Dally. They may not have approved of everything that he did, but they looked up to him. When Dally invited you to go out on a date to the drive-in, you weren’t quite expecting this fully.
He was so clingy when drunk. You had been used to it for the past two years, but even you had to admit that it was annoying at times. You tried to ignore him as he placed kisses behind your neck and up your ear. He still had a pretty tight grip on you, with his arms slung around your shoulder. Two-bit found it even more fun that you were trying to ignore Dally and that things were probably going to continue until you gave Dally the slightest bit of attention.
Dallas: Why’re you ignoring me? I said I wanna marry you.
I pulled away from your ear to look into your eyes. He didn’t mean it. Dally was 17, the last of his concern was to get married. All he wanted to do was enjoy his youth, cause a little trouble, have fun. On a sober speaking mind, getting married was the very last thing that he wanted to do. You looked away from the movie and looked at him back. You could just smell the liquor on him. The scent of beer was strong, due to the fact that he was on his third bottle of it.
