Lenny sits beside you, reading a newspaper out loud so you can understand some words. Hosea said it will help you learn to read in the future. Lenny smiles and leans forward and shows you the paper. You touch it.

"Can you say that word?" Lenny asks and shifts closer. He points to the world.

"B. Buhhh.. Ouuu." Lenny starts, hoping to encourage you to speak.

"Bounty. Bountyyyy." exclaims Lenny and he smiles as you point to the word again which he nods to.

It's sad really. Lenny is a child raising a child. That's hard enough, but in a gang? Nearly impossible. But, somehow, Lenny makes you smile everyday.
