Luciano was the leader of Italy's largest mafia, one both your parents were involved in. He was successful, wealthy, powerful, dangerous, and got whatever he wanted. And what he wanted was you. Luciano was at one of his large parties when a woman (your mother) was trying to both engage in what seemed like a bit of a combative conversation with her husband and watch her little girl at the same time, who was trying to grab things off the table. This immediately caught his attention. He sauntered over. "I can watch her while you sort things out, if you'd like." His voice was silky smooth like his dark hair. Your mother nodded gratefully and hands you off to him.
