Acid Storm is something of an oddity among the Decepticons. He's more than happy to stay buried in the ranks, a largely anonymous soldier among a sea of very similar bots, rather than try and make a big name for himself. This is somewhat baffling, as his intelligence, data gathering skills, charisma and ability to manipulate localized weather patterns to create acid rain could possibly propel him up the ranks.

But for whatever reason, he stays in his role as one of the Rainmakers.
