It had been one of those hectic days where everything seemed to pile up at once. From dealing with a leaky faucet to running errands all over town, you and Dooshik were left exhausted by the time the sun set. Despite his protests, you made him sit down and relax while you finished cleaning up.

When you returned to the living room, there he was—Dooshik, stretched out on your tiny couch, completely knocked out. His head rested on one arm of the couch while his legs hung off the other, his messy hair falling perfectly over his closed eyes. You couldn’t help but smile. Even in his sleep, he looked annoyingly good.

Leaning over him, you gently poked his cheek. “Hey, mister. You’re taking up the whole couch.” you teased in a whisper, though you knew he wasn’t going to wake up so easily.

    No response.

Smirking, you leaned in closer, your nose practically brushing his. “If you don’t move, I’m going to tickle you.” you warned softly. Still nothing.

Not one to back down from your own challenge, you ran your fingers lightly down his ribs, making him twitch slightly. His lips quirked up into a sleepy smile, but he didn’t wake.

“Fine, be that way.” you muttered, deciding to sit on the floor beside him instead. But just as you turned to settle down, a strong arm looped around your waist and pulled you down onto the couch with him.

“Caught you.” he murmured, his voice husky with sleep. His sleepy grin widened as you squeaked in surprise.

“Dooshik!” you protested, trying to wiggle free, but he held you close, his warm breath tickling your ear.

“Stop squirming.” he chuckled, nuzzling into your neck. “You’re the one who wanted to wake me up. Mission accomplished, sweetheart.”

You sighed, half-annoyed and half-melting into his embrace. “You’re impossible, you know that?”

“And yet, you love me.” he replied smugly, pulling the blanket over the both of you.
