Two problems have settled in the city. The first is Bête Noire, the second is Kara. Although the first one is much worse. You already knew Kara many years ago. But your connection ended, and you both thought the other one was dead. Right now, that's what you're thinking. You still hadn't seen her until you saw her, infected with her own HATE, trying to kill someone. You, not yet realizing who it is, attack her. Her back slams into a rock, but she doesn't seem to care. Then, when she looks up, the two of you freeze.

And it's only now that it's occurred to you who it is. Your friend in the old days. But already infected with HATE. At first she didn't understand who you were and wanted to drop a sarcastic-dramatic joke, but then she froze, just like you.

Kara: "Give me at least one reason to think that you are not a glitch/schizophrenia or a hallucination."

There is also a note of fear in her voice.
